SCHOOL OF CREDIT & FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT P.A.C.M. has a continuing education program in place which is geared to address various levels of experience and interests in the credit field. Five courses are offered twice each year in Spring and Fall sessions:PRINCIPLES OF CREDIT MANAGEMENT This course is recommended for professionals who are involved in credit
and collection or whose day to day work in sales administration or related
fields requires a background in credit administration. It is designed to
assist new and seasoned credit professionals better the credit function.
It also is beneficial to sales administrators wanting a better insight
into interdependency of sales and credit. ADVANCE/APPLIED CREDIT MANAGEMENT This applied level course is designed to enable students to expand upon
knowledge imparted through the prerequisite courses and more readily apply
same to the day-to-day credit function. ADVANCED CASE STUDIES IN CREDIT MANAGEMENT This upper level course, which consists of an array of major cases
augmented with mini cases, is indicative of problems that a credit
administrator might expect to encounter in the daily performance of his or
her work. INTERNATIONAL TRADE CREDIT MANAGEMENT This course will help you to understand the following elements of
International Credit in a practical way: Customer Risk, Country Risk,
Payment Method, Export Performance, Money Transfer and Collections.
BUSINESS LAW COURSE Is designed specifically for the Credit Professional. A few topics that
will be covered include: Courts and Jurisdictions-Contracts-Sales-Secured
Transactions- Commercial Paper and Negotiable
Instruments-Agents-Corporations-Partnerships- Proprietorships-Collection.
Courses are held at the Association Office and the classes are three(3)
hours in length, meeting one(1) night per week over an eight(8) week
period. The courses are taught by experienced executives from member
companies. ADDITIONAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS Throughout the year, P.A.C.M. schedules and conducts various half day
and full day seminars and workshops which focus on selected business
credit topics such as: Bankruptcy, Lien Laws, Financial Statement
Analysis, and many other credit management issues of interest. Self-Study Courses can be ordered through the PACM office on a wide
variety of credit and financial topics, which can qualify the credit
professional to sit for the various designation programs in the credit
field. P.A.C.M. realizes the necessity for continuing formal education and
training in credit and financial management given the increasing
complexity of today's business world. The credit manager should grasp
every opportunity to enhance his or her practical workplace experience
with continuing educational programs and in this regard we have devoted
maximum energy to making all of these quality programs available to our
members. Numerous educational opportunities are also available to you at the
National Level through The Credit Research Foundation (CRF) and The
National Institute of Credit (NIC). CRF and NIC offer such programs as The
Graduate School of Credit and Financial Management; Advanced Credit
Executive Studies (ACES); Mid Career School; Credit Business Associates
(CBA); Credit Business Fellow (CBF); Certified Credit Executive (CCE); as
well as other career enhancing courses, books, and literature covering the
